A BRIEF DESCRIPTION FOR PROPER INJECTOR SERVICING

Upon their removal from the vehicle, the injectors must be placed on a flow bench for their testing. Then, their parts, such as: pintles, seals, and filter baskets, are disassembled, using the tools designed for such purpose. Subsequently, the following tests are performed:

Leak Test: It consists of checking for any leaks through the pintle, or . the injector’s body. On the flow bench, the variable pressure regulator allows to adjust the system’s
pressure to the vehicle’s own.

Spray Pattern Test: As its name suggests, it consists in examining the fuel’s spray pattern. The flow bench’s control panel has options which can simulate the injectors’ performance as if they were fitted to the vehicle, thus allowing for a more accurate testing.

Flow Test: It consists in measuring the fuel flow delivered by the injectors to the engine, allowing to check eventual flow mismatches. The simultaneous testing of various injectors may be performed on a good flow bench, thus allowing for more precise comparisons.

Electronic operation: It consists in testing the injectors’ performance under different operational or functioning conditions.

The results of such testing shall determine whether the injectors should undergo the ultrasonic cleaning process.

The ultrasonic cleaning process destroys in just 10 minutes all the crystallized particles and contaminants located inside the injector, which block the adequate fuel flow through them, thus restoring their normal function.

After the injectors’ ultrasonic cleaning, they must undergo once more all the previous tests, and once they are correctly adjusted and calibrated, they must be reassembled with a set of parts, or KIT, in order to be ready to be installed in the vehicle.

BREVE DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PROCESO DE LIMPIEZA Y RECONSTRUCCIÓN:

Prueba de Fuga: Consiste en observar si hay fugas o goteo por la punta o por el cuerpo de ensamblaje del inyector. En nuestro banco de pruebas regulamos la presión hasta ajustarla a la misma presión existente en el vehículo.

Prueba de Atomizado o Spray: Consiste en verificar la calidad del atomizado. En el tablero de mando del banco de pruebas existen opciones que simulan el funcionamiento de los inyectores como si estuviesen operando en el vehículo, permitiendo así uno comprobación muy real.

Prueba de Llenado: Consiste en medir el flujo ó cantidad de combustible que suministran los inyectores al motor, pudiendo comparar la deficiencia o exceso existente
En cada uno, en nuestro banco de pruebas se pueden probar varios inyectores simultáneamente, esto nos permite hacer comparaciones más precisas.

Verificación electrónica: Consiste en comprobar el funcionamiento de los inyectores bajo diferentes condiciones de operación o funcionamiento, se les verifica la resistencia y ohmniaje.
Según los resultados obtenidos de dichas pruebas, podemos determinar si los inyectores ameritan o no la limpieza por ultrasonido.

El proceso de limpieza por ultrasonido destruye en solo 10 minutos, todas las partículas y agentes contaminantes cristalizados que se encuentran en el interior del inyector, los cuales impiden el correcto flujo de combustible a través de estos, devolviéndoles así a su condición normal de funcionamiento.

Después que los inyectores salen de la limpieza por ultrasonido, son sometidos nuevamente a todas las pruebas anteriores y una vez que están correctamente ajustados y calibrados, procedemos al reemplazo de los componentes del inyector o Kit, y así estarán listos para ser devueltos a sus manos y ser instalados nuevamente en el vehículo.
